Quick Start Guide

Get started with portfolio optimization in just a few steps.

Create an Account

Sign up for a free account to access the optimization platform.

  1. Navigate to Sign Up
  2. Enter your email and create a password
  3. Verify your email address
  4. Complete your profile

Select Your Assets

Choose the assets you want to include in your optimized portfolio. The Optimize page lets you switch between two asset classes:

Equities

  • Browse stocks from NSE or BSE
  • Search by ticker symbol or company name
  • Select at least 2 stocks (recommended: 10-30)
  • Consider sector diversification

Mutual Funds

Beta
  • Search the equity-only mutual fund universe sourced from MFAPI
  • Filtered against AMFI categorization (no debt / hybrid / arbitrage / liquid)
  • Select at least 2 schemes (recommended: 4-10)
  • NAV-based history typically starts mid-2000s; see Mutual Funds (Beta)

Stocks and funds cannot be mixed in a single run.

Configure Parameters

Set up the optimization parameters for your analysis.

Exchange:

NSE or BSE

Benchmark:

NIFTY 50, BSE SENSEX, NIFTY Bank, or one of the NIFTY 100 / 200 / 500 / Midcap / Smallcap indices. See Supported Benchmarks for the full catalogue and inception dates. Limited-history benchmarks surface a warning that must be acknowledged before submission.

Date Range:

Historical period for analysis (e.g., 5 years)

Risk-Free Rate:

Current rate (typically 6-7% for India)

Select one or more optimization methods to compare results.

Submit and Review Results

Submit your optimization job and review the results.

  • Click "Submit Optimization" to start the job
  • Wait for the optimization to complete (typically 1-2 minutes)
  • Review optimal weights for each method
  • Analyze performance metrics and charts
  • Download results as Excel or PDF
